“Stardust Journey”
"Stardust Journey" is my first digital mixed-media collage series.
It's a series of digital mixed-media portrait collages based on the twelve zodiac signs, exploring the multifaceted self and inner healing. Each work is based on a self-portrait, incorporating metaphors of the zodiac's symbolic animals, nature, and man-made objects. Using childhood photographs, public domain images, digital drawings, fabric, and embroidery stitches, the work depicts an individual's psychological journey between conflict, transformation, and acceptance.
Through a combination of color, texture, and symbolic elements, each zodiac sign showcases a unique fluidity of identity and emotional layers, addressing themes of self-exploration, belonging, and alienation. This series attempts to capture this state of 'drifting self' through visual language, guiding the viewer through the complexities of multiple identities and healing processes.

《星尘之旅》是我的首个数字混合媒介拼贴系列作品。
它是一组基于十二星座的数字混合媒介肖像拼贴系列，探索多面自我与内在疗愈。每幅作品以自画像为主体，结合星座象征动物、自然与人造物隐喻，使用童年照片、公共领域图像、数字绘制、布料与刺绣线迹，呈现个体在冲突、转化与接纳之间的心理旅程。
通过色彩、质感与象征元素的结合，每个星座展现独特的身份流动与情绪层次，回应自我探索、归属与疏离的主题。该系列尝试通过视觉语言捕捉“漂流的自我”状态，引导观者体验多重身份与疗愈过程的复杂性。

Concept Statement：
This work is part of the "Stardust Journey" series. Using astrology as a structural metaphor, this series explores how individuals construct their selves through digital collage and mixed media.
The work revolves around the psychological tension of "alienation and connection." The eagle evokes a bird's-eye view and a sense of detachment on a spiritual level; satellites and lighthouses create a spatial atmosphere of long-distance communication, maintaining a delicate balance between connection and loneliness. Three selves with distinct expressions are pieced together within the same bodily structure, connected by stitches, presenting the dynamic process of identity floating and integrating.
Sky blue linen and pinkish-yellow nebulae create a transitional space between reality and the universe, allowing the drifting self to find a moment of peace between loneliness and belonging.

Concept Statement：
This work is part of the "Stardust Journey" series. Using astrology as a structural metaphor, this series explores how individuals construct their selves through digital collage and mixed media.
The artwork revolves around the psychological tension between "impulse and self‑control." Flames and sports cars symbolize the two poles of energy: they suggest both the impulsiveness and emotional fluctuations of Aries, as well as its passion and pioneering spirit. Two symmetrical rams connected by stitching represent the dynamic process of inner energy moving from chaos to integration.
Pale purple linen and yellow nebula create a transitional space between reality and the inner world, allowing the drifting self to find a moment of peace between impulse and reason. The four variations present the multiple possibilities of the Aries identity, reflecting the process of self‑awareness and inner healing.

The swan symbolizes Libra’s elegance and social charm, while the pirate ship in the amusement park metaphorically represents their wavering in thinking and decision‑making. A small face placed on a scale, connected to the face behind it by stitching, vividly presents the dynamic balance Libra strikes between expressing their true self and conforming to others. Artistic elements such as stained‑glass windows from a church echo Libra’s innate aesthetic talent and inner sensitivity.
